About the RMCS PTO

RMCS PTO Bylaws

Welcome to the Rick Marcotte Central School PTO website.  At our school, "everybody is somebody" -- and that includes parents and guardians, too!!  The PTO is critical to our students' success.  It's an active, energetic and enthusiastic force in our school.  All parents and guardians are members and we need everyone's help to make it succeed.  Whether you've got an hour a week or an hour a year, we want your input and your help.  

Our goals for the 2009-2010 school year are to:
 

1. Increase community involvement through events and increased communication.

2. Increase volunteer opportunities for parents. How can we get more parents (and Dads!) to feel/ be involved

3. Increase number of RMCS parent information sessions.

4. Continue to support our PTO objectives as stated in the by-laws:

The PTO strives for the following:

• Provide enhanced educational opportunities for the children at Rick Marcotte Central School ("RMCS") through funding and organizing various enrichment opportunities;
• Encourage RMCS parent/child/staff interaction by providing social and education venues for this purpose;
• Foster an atmosphere of goodwill and cooperation within RMCS and surrounding community;
• Promote the emotional and physical well-being of the children in RMCS, the community, and the home; and
• Support RMCS in any way deemed suitable.
